Dr. Tammy Barnett
Dr. Barnett earned her Bachelors of Arts in English from Thomas Edison State University in Trenton, NJ. She earned her Masters of Arts in Theology from the Franciscan University at Steubenville in Steubenville, OH and she earned her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. Further, Dr. Barnett completed the Master Teacher Program at West Point's Center Teaching Excellence in West point, NY.
Prior to joining NCPA Dr. Barnett taught for fifteen years at the United States Military Academy Preparatory School at West Point. There she started an Ecumenical Christian Fellowship Club as well as the Pep Band and Cheerleading Team.
Dr. Tammy Barnett was born and raised in Mississippi. She spent twenty eight years traveling the world as a military spouse. She is the mother of six and grandmother of ten. She has taught in several States including Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York. In addition to her educational experience, she has taught Sacrament preparation at numerous parishes over the years, and started three Catholic Youth Groups at three different military installations.
A Catholic convert and a motivational/inspirational speaker, Dr. Barnett is passionate about her Catholic Christian Faith. She feels strongly about Catholic Education's unique ability to develop the whole person – spirit, mind, and body – through spiritual and academic formation based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Dr. Barnett’s mantra is as follows:
